Before And After

by Zi O

This is a photo of a friend and daughter-as she was crowned Homecoming Queen. My friend asked me to work on it-and I did. To the point I've made her look like someone else, haaa, but I was experimenting to see what I could accomplish. I'm working with Photoshop 5 and it could be I've got it all wrong. So I'm posting this hoping you all out there more versed than I will come forth with suggestions. What I did was match the skin tone put a thin layer and then blend adding highlights etc. With the hair the majority of the time I blended to give it a softer effect then added highlights. I reduced my friend's double chin as much as possible whitened the teeth plus eyes, straightened her smile and....this is the results. Again I'd love to hear from any of you out there. I'm here to improve...*S*

Excellent job - maybe some added lighting effects would enhance the whole image. To achieve this you could try playing around with a Curves Adjustment Layer and Colour Balance layer to give it a warmer feel..........?? Let me know if I can help further.
