Moth Woman

by Brittany Butts

This is a combination of a photo that I took of the moth that I use for my avatar and an awefull photo that I took of myself. I combined its eyespots with my own eyes.

The moth has eyespots on the back of its wings to scare off predators. And it works, too. I found the moth on the ground in my backyard on a windy day. It couldn't fly, I guess because of the wind. My cats were in the backyard with it. When ever the moth sat still, they would look at it and keep going. Only when it tried to fly did they show interest in it.

I picked it up with a stick and placed it safely in a tree.
